Purpose of the project:
This survey has been designed to collect information from students
who have participated in a MOOC as part of their learning activities within a
unit at Curtin University. Using MOOCs within units is a new approach to
teaching and learning, so this project seeks to understand your thoughts and
experiences. The information collected will be used to determine if MOOCs can
add to your learning experiences or if any changes or modifications need to be

You will be asked to complete one online survey which will
take approximately 10-15minutes of your time.
Confidentiality and security of information:
The answers will be collected anonymously and no identifying
information will be collected.
All participation is voluntary and you can choose not to participate
or withdraw at any time. You do not have to provide answers to any questions you
do not wish to answer. There is no penalty for non-participation.
Risks and benefits:
There are no identifiable risks associated with
participation. The identified benefits of participating are:
Your answers will benefit future students as
modifications to the unit and MOOC will be based on the information collected
via the survey.
You will be able to reflect on your learning experiences
which will provide an opportunity for you to think about your experiences which
will add to your growing understanding of teaching.
